Maarten De Ceullaer's Colour Lights are on the right path, but I really think he needs to take it a little farther.

I'm thinking less clinical containers, beautify it - add flowers.

If your going to just add color to the water. Give it a reason. Dye the flowers, and don't use just one color, separate the inside or add test tubes and have multiple colors.
